Niki Wallen, PTA, BS, MOL
The Program Director possesses the academic and professional qualifications, along with relevant experience, essential for the demands of the role. Niki Wallen, P.T.A., B.S., MOL, holds the position of Director for the Physical Therapist Assistant Program at Ozarks Technical Community College in Springfield, MO. Since January 2009, Niki has been a full-time instructor in the OTC PTA program, previously serving as the Academic Coordinator of Clinical Education (ACCE) from 2011 to 2017. In July 2017, Niki officially assumed the role of Program Director.
Niki earned her AAS degree as a Physical Therapist Assistant in 2006 from Ozarks Technical Community College in Springfield, MO. She achieved her Bachelor’s Degree in Health Services (Cum Laude) from Drury University in Springfield, MO, in 2011, and a Master’s Degree in Organizational Leadership from Evangel University, Springfield, MO, in 2013. With a focus on orthopedics and geriatrics, Niki has diverse experience in various healthcare settings. She is trained in the Graston Technique method of instrument-assisted soft-tissue mobilization for therapeutic applications and procedures.
On the national stage, Niki has presented for the American Physical Therapy Association and Missouri Physical Therapy Association. Since 2007, she has held elected positions in the Missouri PTA Caucus, including PTA Caucus Representative, PTA Caucus Alternate Delegate, and PTA Caucus Delegate. Additionally, Niki has served the Missouri Physical Therapy Association as Director and Treasurer. Currently, she contributes as a nominating committee member for the MPTA.
