OTC High School Health Sciences

The OTC High School Health Sciences Program educates the next generation of healthcare professionals in a collaborative, inter-professional learning environment while providing accessible and innovative ways to research and study various healthcare careers.

The program is offered during students’ junior and senior years of high school and gives them an opportunity to explore many healthcare occupations while earning both high school and college credit hours. The coursework features both classroom and clinical learning, enabling students to decide if a career in healthcare is right for them. The program prepares students to understand the role of each health care team member, act professionally in the workplace, demonstrate health care leadership and much more.

The High School Health Sciences Program is also approved by the Missouri Department of Health and Senior Services as a nursing assistant training agency. Sciences students have the opportunity to complete training to become a Certified Nurse’s Assistant during the second year of the program.
