OTC Dental Assisting Program

The OTC Dental Assisting Program provides opportunities for students to discover their talents and abilities to achieve excellence in the dental service industry. Our faculty and staff continually encourage ethical and professional behavior while helping students reach their full potential.

The Dental Assisting Program trains students to become dental assistants, who prepare dentists’ tools, help keep their records and often have many other support roles. This program helps students develop foundational skills, foster teamwork and prepare them for the workforce. The program’s curriculum is a mix of classroom learning and clinical work to reinforce academic concepts.

The Dental Assisting Program offers an Associate of Applied Science (A.A.S.) degree and a Certificate of Achievement. The A.A.S. degree provides students with well-rounded coursework while the certificate program is for students seeking a faster path to graduation.

The Dental Assisting Program is accredited by the Commission on Dental Accreditation.
