Nathan Pounds is a Registered Respiratory Therapist, Registered Pulmonary Function Technologist, and Certified Asthma Educator. In 2021, he successfully completed his associates degree in respiratory therapy at OTC. Nathan currently serves as a full-time instructor and the Laboratory Coordinator for the Respiratory Therapy department at OTC.
Nathan earned his bachelor’s degree in psychology from Missouri State University, providing him with a unique perspective that enhances his approach to respiratory care. Nathan achieved a master’s degree in respiratory care with a concentration in leadership from Texas State University in December 2023. Nathan was honored as the 2023 Outstanding Academic Graduate Student in both the Respiratory Care Department and the College of Health Professions from Texas State.
Specializing in asthma and pulmonary disease education, pulmonary rehabilitation, and pulmonary function testing, Nathan is dedicated to advancing the field of respiratory care and educating the next generation of respiratory therapists.
