Dr. Danyel Anderson

Dr. Danyel Anderson graduated from Missouri State University with a Bachelor of Science in Cell and Molecular Biology and Medical Technology and a minor in Chemistry, during which she completed an eight-month Department of Energy Undergraduate Laboratory Fellowship at Brookhaven National Laboratory in Upton New York.  She completed her clinical internship in medical technology at St. John’s Regional Medical Center in Joplin, Missouri, and achieved board certification from the American Society of Clinical Pathology. In 2002 she received a Master in Public Health degree with an emphasis in Epidemiology from Missouri State University.  She then served two years as a Health Educator with the Peace Corps in Santa Rita de Copan, Honduras.  Prior to coming on board with OTC, she worked as a general Medical Laboratory Scientist at Smith-Glynn-Callaway Laboratory in Springfield, Missouri.  In 2016, Dr. Anderson completed her Doctorate of Education at Northcentral University.  She has been with OTC since the inception of the MLT program in 2007, and currently serves as the MLT Program Director.  Dr. Anderson also serves on the board for the Missouri chapter of the American Society for Clinical Laboratory Science (ASCLS-MO).
