Robert Haralson has been part of the HIT Program since 1998. Mr. Haralson has taught or is currently teaching in the following courses: Medical Coding, Comparative Health Records & Reimbursement Systems, Healthcare Statistics, Introduction to Health Information Technology, Medical Terminology, HIT Applications I & II, Human Anatomy, Physiology, & Pathophysiology.
Mr. Haralson is a Registered Health Information Technician and a Certified Coding Specialist. Mr. Haralson holds an Associate of Applied Science degree in Health Information Technology from Ozarks Technical Community College.
Mr. Haralson’s experience and background include Healthcare Consultant, Clinical Coding Auditor/Educator, Inpatient Coder, Outpatient Coder, and Health Records Clerk.
Mr. Haralson’s professional association membership includes the American Health Information Management Association (AHIMA), Missouri Health Information Management Association (MOHIMA), and Ozarks Area Health Information Technology (OAHIMA). Mr. Haralson has participated as an OAHIMA Board member as the Recording Secretary.
