Kristine Strong, RN, MSN, MHA
Kris Strong RN, MSN, MHA received her diploma in nursing from St. John’s School of Nursing in 1994 and her Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) completion degree from Southwest Missouri State University (now Missouri State University) in 1998. She obtained her Master’s in Healthcare Administration in 2011 from Webster University and her Master of Science in Nursing (MSN) from Missouri State University in 2021.
Kris started as an adjunct instructor with the OTC practical nurse program in 2018 and became a full time practical nursing program instructor in 2022.
Kris spent 30 years with Mercy Health System in Springfield, MO in a variety of nursing roles including women’s health, medical-surgical nursing, nursing leadership and case management.
She serves on the board for the Missouri Nurses Foundation and the Missouri Action Coalition, is past president for the Missouri Center for Nursing and past president of CMSA (Case Management Society of America) of Springfield and the Greater Ozarks. She also has served on the board for the MS Society of Southwest Missouri and worked many of the MS 150 Bike rides over the last decade.
