Tina Engel, PT, MPT
Tina M Engel, P.T., M.P.T. has been the Director of Clinical Education in the Physical Therapist Assistant (PTA) program since 2017. She served on the PTA advisory committee previously since 2011. She has also taught Biological Clinical Science courses at OTC since 2011.
Tina graduated from Southwest Baptist University with a Bachelor of Science in Biology and minor in Psychology in 1996 (Cum Laude), and then earned a Master of Physical Therapy Degree from SBU in 1999.
Tina has many years of clinical experience providing rehabilitative services for all stages of life in various settings, including outpatient, skilled nursing, inpatient rehabilitation, schools, home health, and acute care. Tina has a wide range of training, with a focus on orthopedics and geriatrics. She has obtained a Movement Specialist Advanced Certification, Orthopedic Excellence: Lower Quarter Certification, Wound Care Certification, and Facial Movement Technique Certification.
She is a member of the American Physical Therapy Association (APTA) and the Missouri Physical Therapy Association (MPTA) and is a member of the Orthopedic and Academy of Education Sections of the APTA. Tina has presented courses at the regional and state level for the APTA and MPTA. She has served on the OTC faculty senate and served on the executive council in communications.
