Cynthia Moore

Cynthia Moore teaches Drawing I and Art and Experience at OTC and Two-dimensional design and Drawing I at MSU. At other institutions she has also taught printmaking workshops and figure drawing classes. She received her B.A. in fine art at Earlham College in Indiana, schooling which included an art apprenticeship program in New York. She received her M.F. A. in printmaking at the University of Iowa. Her own interests in making art include drawing, printmaking, book arts, collage and most black and white media. Her artwork has been shown in national juried art shows and is in the U.S.I.A. Embassy Collection. Cynthia recognizes that art fits into students’ lives in different ways and encourages them to develop their abilities. She enjoys teaching not only skills and techniques but the art of observation as well. Being more aware of the visual world, in artwork and in everyday things, makes everyone’s world a richer place. Cynthia believes that interest in a wide variety of things – literature, music, nature – can nourish any artist’s creativity.
