Jennifer Bump earned her B.A. in History Education from Evangel University and her M.A. in History from Missouri State University.  She has been an adjunct instructor at OTC since 2013, full time since 2016, and has previously taught both seated and online courses at Evangel University.

She moved to Springfield from Kansas in 2000.  She loves Springfield and the Ozarks and everything the area has to offer.  Having said that, she is an ardent supporter and defender of the state of Kansas.  Ms. Bump loves traveling, reading, drinking copious amounts of coffee, and spending time with friends. She thinks that History is the most interesting thing anyone could ever study.  It’s so fun!

Ms. Bump teaches both US History Surveys, World History II, and co-teaches the History and Literature of the Holocaust.  She has previously taught courses in women’s history, the Reformation and Renaissance, World Civilizations, and the Early Christian era.

Her research interests include 20th Century U.S. Social History, The World Wars, Women’s Movements in the U.S., Volunteerism on the Homefront, Milton Eisenhower, 19th Century Social Reform, and 16th Century European Religious Movements.
