The Social Science Department offers courses in World Regional Geography from a variety of experienced faculty. In GRY 101, students learn the role of the discipline in the economic, political, and social development of various global regions. Additionally, students will study how the various regions of the world interact with one another. Our GRY 101 course meets Core 42 criteria and is transferable to four-year institutions.
The department also offers an elective course in World Economic Geography (GRY 230), in which students are provided with an introduction to regional economics through an analysis of how people earn a living and how the goods and services they produce are organized. This course meets OTC elective requirements and counts towards hours needed for your OTC degree.
