OTC Scholarships

Qualifications: 

  • A current active member of the OTC Honors Program
  • 3.50 cumulative grade point average to receive 3rd & 4th semester
  • Seeking a degree at OTC

Value: 

Renewable for up to four (4) semesters

$1,250 per semester for a full-time award

Award based on credit hours enrolled not to exceed tuition & fees:

  • 12+ hours = $1,250
  • 9-11 hours = $938
  • 6-8 hours = $625
  • 1-5 hours = $312

Renewal Criteria:

Value renewable for up to four (4) semesters

Renewable for 3rd & 4th semester for students who maintain a cumulative grade point average of 3.5 or higher at OTC and maintain an active status in the OTC Honors Program.

Transfer Scholarships

Evans Scholarship:

OTC Honors Program students are eligible to receive an Evans Scholarship, which is worth $6,500 per academic year. This scholarship is renewable for up to eight semesters and is contingent on the student’s good standing in the Honors Program.

To qualify for the MSSU Honors Program, an OTC student must first be admitted to MSSU and have a college GPA of 3.5. After filling out and submitting an Honors application, the student will then be invited to campus to complete an interview with the MSSU Honors staff.

Transfer Honors Scholarship:

Missouri State University offers an Honors scholarship to OTC students who are transferring to MSU. Students wishing to apply must either have completed (or must complete prior to their first semester at MSU)

  • An associate degree with a cumulative grade point average of 3.5 or higher
  • Or at least 24 transferable credit hours with a cumulative grade point average of 3.65 or higher.

Additionally, students must be admitted to the MSU Honors College. A student may transfer OTC Honors Program credits into the MSU Honors College.

The Transfer Honors Scholarship is worth $3,500 a year and is renewable for two years for students who successfully complete 27 hours at MSU each academic year while maintaining a 3.25 GPA or higher. Additionally, students must continue enrollment in the MSU Honors College.

The Transfer Honors Scholarship may be combined with the Phi Theta Kappa Scholarship and the Out-of-State Tuition Waiver.

OTC-Drury Scholars Award:
Drury will award up to 4 of these awards per year to OTC Honors Program graduates who

  1. Complete OTC’s Honors Program with a 3.75 overall GPA (with a B or better in each of their honors courses)
  2. Apply to Drury’s Honors Program.

The first four students who apply and meet the requirements will receive the award for a given academic year. The OTC-Drury Scholars Award is worth $4,000 per year at Drury University.

OTC honors students must first apply to Drury University and then apply to Drury’s Honors Program. In their application, they should indicate that they are OTC honors graduates. Drury’s Honors Program will verify that the student has graduated from OTC’s Honors Program and has the requisite GPA. This award will be in addition to any other merit and need aid they receive from Drury University.
