Jerome Lickteig, SHEP

Jerome “Jerry” Lickteig has been in the occupational safety, health and environmental fields for over 45 years. Lickteig has vast knowledge in the areas of occupational safety, environmental science, industrial hygiene, and preventive medicine. He brings safety training and implementation experience from a wide variety of companies ranging from small firms under fifteen through national firms employing tens of thousands throughout the United States.Lickteig is certified to teach OSHA Outreach Training in both General Industry and Construction. He has been an instructor for the OSHA Region 7 Training Center located in Kansas City, Missouri for over twenty years and can teach an extensive list of OSHA courses.

During Jerome’s service in the U.S. Navy he received focused training in incident investigation and ‘Root Causes’. Ultimately he completed over 400 hours of formal U.S. Navy training in Occupational Health and Safety. He held numerous posts at Naval facilities ranging from Preventative Medicine Technician and Departmental Safety Specialist to Senior Manager and Safety Officer. Following his service he was employed in private industry prior to his current consulting and training career.

Licktieg holds a B.S. in Safety and Health from University of the State of New York and an A.S. in Environmental Science from Alameda Community College. He also has received education from several U.S. Naval schools and has received four Navy Commendation Medals, two Navy Achievement Medals, and the Annual Senior Enlisted Navy Corpsman recognition.
