Gary Lee has over twenty years of experience in leadership and quality with a proven record of accomplishment in tactical and strategic quality initiatives. His approach to training is both practical and participatory. Gary’s academic study is tempered with years of industry experience to give him a practical approach to quality and problem solving.Gary’s practical experience includes Quality Engineer, Master Black Belt, Supplier Quality Manager, Quality Manager, VP of Quality, and Lean Implementer. He has experience in both implementation and audit of ISO 9000 and TS 16949 for companies in the US, Mexico, Canada, China, Philippines, Italy, and Turkey.
As a certified kaizen facilitator, Gary has spoken at local and national ASQ meetings as well as being published in Quality Progress the national publication of ASQ. He has also been an invited speaker for a Lean Six Sigma master’s degree course and for Business Statistics courses. He is an ASQ Senior Member and Evaluator of Abstracts for 2013 and 2018 ASQ World Conference on Quality Improvement and is currently on the Technical Advisory Group (TAG) 176 which advises ISO on the United States position on quality management standards.
Gary also holds certifications in FMEA, Six Sigma, Shainin problem-solving, Kepner-Tregoe problem-solving, and others.
Gary Lee’s formal education includes a bachelor’s degree in Business Administration from College of the Ozarks and a master’s in Business Administration from the University of Wisconsin, Milwaukee. He has recently earned a PhD in Quality Systems from Indiana State University. He has Design of Experiments and advanced statistics training from ASQ, as well as DOE and advanced statistics classes as part of his doctoral program.
