More information on Off-Campus/Dual-Credit Proctoring
(2 Business Days Required for Processing)
- Student Instructions:
- Students must submit a separate form for each proctored exam they wish to complete at a non-OTC facility.
- Before you submit the Off-Campus Proctoring Approval Form, you will need to reach out to your non-OTC facility to see if they are available to proctor your exam.
- For dual-credit students: The best and preferred option is for students to take their proctored exams at their high school with a high school employee designated as the proctor.
- Once the form is submitted, it will not be approved until Testing Services contacts the non-OTC facility to see if they will adhere to the following proctoring guidelines:
- The identity of the student is to be verified.
- The student is monitored during the entirety of the exam.
- The exam must be completed in one sitting.
- At no time will the student be allowed to see a provided password.
- If this is a paper/pencil exam, you (the proctor) will be able to scan and email the exam back to the instructor.
- Once Testing Services hears back from the non-OTC facility, an approval or denial email will be sent back to the student.
- If approved, Testing Services will send the exam and exam information to the non-OTC facility at least one day before the requested exam date.
- If denied, the student will need to find a different location and resubmit the Off-Campus Proctoring Approval Form.
- This is why we request at least 2 Business Days for processing.
- Important limitations:
- The below form is NOT to be used for COM-100/105 proctoring. Instead, please visit the Speech Communication Center for off-campus proctoring requests.
- The below form is NOT to be used for Proctorio. For information to take your exam using Proctorio visit the Student Proctoring Resources Page.
- Example of Approved Proctors:
- University testing center administrators, high school administrators, professional librarians at a public library, testing control or unit education officers at U.S. military bases, or U.S. embassy officials.
- Example of Unapproved Proctors:
- Self, relatives, friends, clergy, and employers.
