Erin Martin has been invested in student learning since 2008 teaching K-5th grade computer skills, 7-12th grade Science, and collegiate Psychology. She taught seated Introduction to Psychology, Lifespan Development, Research Statistics, and Abnormal Psychology – as well as numerous other online psychology courses. She taught psychology courses at six colleges with various instructional formats and platforms since 2013. She joined OTC in 2017 as an adjunct Psychology Instructor before transferring to teach full-time psychology courses with Middle College in 2024.

Like many students, Erin’s educational path was a winding road starting with a B.S. in Biology from University of Missouri in St. Louis, then Science Teaching certification at Missouri State University, followed by a M.S. and Ph.D. in General Psychology at Walden University. She is a passionate life-long learner and enjoys sharing understanding and perspectives with others inside and outside the classroom.

She believes the most rewarding part of her career is helping students be successful in the classroom and in life by how they apply concepts learned in the classroom to life success. Her childhood in Taiwan as a third culture kid, working with Children’s Division, and research reviewing literature on student success provides her a unique perspective on student success.
