This course of study allows students with a high school grade point average (GPA) of 3.0 or higher and 90% attendance or greater to complete college courses towards an associate of arts degree and/or general education requirements to transfer to a four-year college or university.

This career pathway is an Automotive Service Excellence (ASE) master certified program with an emphasis on medium and heavy duty trucks.  Under the supervision of certified instructors experienced in the industry, students will learn basic fundamentals of the diesel/automotive fields including, but not limited to, systems design, engine operation, drive trains, brakes, steering and suspension, electrical and electronics, gas engines, heating and air conditioning, diagnosis and repair, preventive maintenance, service procedures, safety, and customer relations to begin in an entry level position.  Students accepted into this program must demonstrate mechanical reasoning skills.

This program taught by certified instructors, will prepare students to begin entry level positions in a child care facility.  Students will learn basic fundamentals of child care including, but not limited to, infant/toddler development and care, safety and nutrition, family relationships, creative play, appropriate discipline, exceptional children, child abuse and neglect as well as child care management.  Students accepted into this program are required to allow a criminal background check and complete a tuberculosis skin test. By state law, early childhood providers must be over the age of 18 to count in the teacher/pupil ratio and work in most centers.  Internship experiences in the early childhood field, especially for students under the age of 18, are typically unpaid positions.

This program provides an opportunity for students to explore health-related careers, learn basic knowledge, and apply entry-level skills in a hospital, nursing home, or other clinical settings.  In the first year, students will enroll in medical terminology and first responder’s curriculum.  A course on lifetime wellness and career options will be embedded in the program.  During the senior year, the focus will be on emergency medical technician training or courses related to the students’ interest (based on enrollment).  Students in this career pathway will be enrolled in college level science courses each year such as biology, physics, and anatomy.  This is a very rigorous career pathway for the exceptional student.

This career pathway is designed to provide a “hands on” exploration of networking and computer information science.  Students install various operating systems currently in use and configure those systems to connect to network resources such as file and print services and Internet access. Configuration and upgrading of computer hardware are covered.  Diagnosing and troubleshooting computer malfunctions related to hardware are practiced.  Preventive maintenance and printer maintenance fundamentals are taught.  A basic knowledge of command line operation is introduced and practiced.  Students will disassemble and re-assemble a functioning computer.  Beginning programming techniques for those seeking a career in this industry will be introduced.

Depth of training for entry into the construction occupation depends on the specific needs of employers.  In this program, theory and many hours of practice combined to lead to the Associate of Applied Science degree or certificate.  A broad background allows the student to meet the needs of various graduate employment goals.  This program is recognized by the Associated General Contractors of America.

Sheet metal and unibody repair, automotive refinishing, and collision damage estimation are areas of concentration and employment for graduates of the Auto Collision Repair Technology program.  Employers include independent body shops, new and used car dealerships, upholstery shops, glass shops, paint and equipment manufacturers and distributors, and insurance companies.  The degree program is accredited by the National Automotive Technicians Education Foundation.

The outlook for competent drafters is expected to increase faster than the average occupation since all new products and buildings require drawings and specifications to manufacture, build and assemble.  This program provides the student with the necessary skills and knowledge to obtain employment as a designer/drafter in a manufacturing, civil, structural or architectural environment.  The application of drafting and design standards and skills will be examined with the study of basic to advanced concepts in spatial relationships utilizing a computer aided drafting system to complete projects.

The Electronic Media Production program is designed to meet the changing needs of the audio-visual industry in a digital format.  Students will learn a variety of contemporary production skills.  Emphasis is on a hands-on laboratory environment in digital video production and editing, multi-track audio production, 3-D animation and radio production.  Students may complete an internship with industry prior to earning an A.A.S. degree.

This program prepares students for employment in the lucrative field of industrial systems technology.  Graduates are employed in manufacturing facilities, hospitals, hotels/resorts, public utilities, school/college facilities and retail chains.  People with this training are responsible for installation, operation and maintenance of robots and other automated systems related to manufacturing and industrial processes.  They perform installation and repair of machinery that is crucial to many industries.  Good pay, benefits and high placement rates are characteristic of this field.  this program provides ongoing skills enhancement to people already employed in the field, and it provides new students with the entry-level skills they need to gain employment.
