OTC Practical Nursing Program

The OTC Practical Nursing Program prepares students to work as licensed practical nurses (LPNs). LPNs care for patients by checking their vital signs, helping them dress themselves and collecting bodily samples. They generally work under the supervision of doctors and registered nurses (RNs).

Our instructors train students to be skilled healthcare professionals through a combination of classroom learning and clinical practice. The program focuses on bedside care with substantial clinical rotations, a short program length and a fast-paced curriculum. Students will learn the role of practical nurses on the healthcare team, communication skills, accountability, and pharmacological and nutritional treatments.

Graduates earn a Certificate of Achievement in Practical Nursing. According to the Bureau of Labor Statistics, this field will experience faster than average job growth. Graduates find work at long-term care facilities, home health care companies, doctors’ offices, hospitals and other health care organizations.

All three OTC Practical Nursing Programs are fully approved by the Missouri State Board of Nursing.
