Archives and Special Collections

Archives and Special Collections includes print materials, publications, books, photographs and other items that require special storage and care due to their condition or value. Items in the Ozarks Tech archives and special collections are not available for check-out, but may be used within the Hamra Library by scheduled appointment only.

Access to the Library Archives and Special Collections must be arranged with the Library Director via email at goansd@otc.edu.

The Ozarks Tech archives and special collections include materials related to the history of Ozarks Technical Community College. Holdings include:

  • The Eagle (The Ozarks Tech Student Newspaper 1995-2011)
  • College Catalogs
  • Graduation Programs
  • Various newspaper clippings
  • Various Photographs
  • Various historical and classroom documents
  • Various memorabilia over the years (pins, hats, t-shirts, banners, etc.)
  • The OTC Time Capsule (25th Anniversary – Sealed on December 10, 2015)

Organizational Method

  • All items are in secured storage in the Hamra Library on the Springfield Campus.
  • Items are stored in archival boxes and files, and the inventory of collections has been documented. More information is available upon request.
  • Requests to view items are filled on a case-by-case basis depending on copyright restrictions.
  • The credit line, “Used by permission of Ozarks Tech Library.” should appear with published photographs, along with appropriate credits in bibliographies, forewords or introductions. Copies of publications that include information from the Ozarks Tech Archives and Special Collections are also appreciated.
