ELECTRICAL TECHNICIAN

Plug in to your future by joining the OTC Electrical Technician Program. The program’s mission is to provide students with opportunities to develop the skills they need to pursue a career as an electrical technician. Electrical technicians build and maintain the electronic devices and equipment that power our world. While their duties can vary, typical responsibilities include evaluating product designs, recommending design changes and testing electronics. Students learn by doing in this innovative program that will be helpful to both apprentices and non-apprentices. Courses include Electrical Theory & Safety, Wiring Method & Power Distribution, and Alternative and Renewable Energy. We offer an Associate of Applied Science (A.A.S.) and a Certificate of Achievement in Electrical Technician. The A.A.S. degree provides students with well-rounded coursework while the certificate program is for students seeking a faster path to graduation.
