Paula Hatley is a Certified Medical Assistant with over 16 years of experience in the medical field, specializing in cardiology and pulmonology. Her diverse background includes floating roles in pulmonary, nephrology and dermatology clinics, along with time in podiatry, where she assisted with procedures such as toe amputations and diabetic foot care. She also has extensive experience in phlebotomy, having worked in a cardiology lab, which enhanced her diagnostic and laboratory skills.
Throughout her career, Paula has consistently applied her academic training in real-world clinical settings. She has supported thoracentesis procedures, scheduled diagnostic testing, conducted spirometry and EKGs, and provided compassionate care across various specialties. Her adaptability and commitment to ongoing learning have defined her professional journey.
Currently, Paula serves as an Instructor Assistant in the allied health lab at Ozarks Technical Community College. She also holds the role of Clinical Coordinator for the Paramedicine and Allied Health programs. In this dual capacity, she helps students bridge the gap between classroom knowledge and clinical application. Paula is passionate about both healthcare and education and is dedicated to preparing future healthcare professionals for meaningful and successful careers.
