Cindy Cobbs is an accomplished pharmacy professional and educator with a diverse background spanning education, counseling, and pharmacy operations. She earned her Bachelor of Science in Psychology from Northwestern State University and spent 15 years teaching in the school system, instructing courses from middle school math and history to high school personal finance and business. As a college and career academic counselor, she discovered a deep passion for guiding others toward meaningful and fulfilling careers.
In 2021, Cindy transitioned into the pharmacy field after developing a strong interest in the profession’s fast-paced environment, patient interaction, and vital role in healthcare. She completed the necessary training to become a nationally certified pharmacy technician in 2022 and has since worked in multiple areas of pharmacy, including retail, pharmaceutical wholesaling, compliance, and controlled substance diversion prevention. She holds memberships with the National Association of Drug Diversion Investigators (NADDI), National Association of Boards of Pharmacy (NABP), American Society of Health-System Pharmacists (ASHP), and the American Pharmacists Association (APhA).
Currently serving as a Pharmacy Operations Manager with Walgreens, Cindy has contributed to special assignments in Pennsylvania and California as part of the Rite Aid acquisition and is certified to practice in Missouri, Texas, and Louisiana. She brings a wealth of real-world experience to the classroom and is dedicated to ensuring pharmacy technician students receive thorough, accurate, and practical training in compliance, regulations, and patient care.
Outside of work, Cindy enjoys spending time with her two adult children and her beloved pit bull, Tunechi.
