Grow your career by joining the OTC Agriculture Program. The program’s mission is to provide accessible, high-quality instruction that promotes student learning and prepares them to be knowledgeable, skilled and qualified professionals in the dynamic land care industry. The Agriculture Program offers an Associate of Arts degree with three concentrations, Animal Science, Plant Science and General Agriculture, and an Associate of Applied Science degree in Turf and Landscape Management. The Animal Science degree trains students how to responsibly manage livestock and wildlife. The Plant Science degree teaches students the basic of botany and more specific focuses such as horticulture and forestry. The Turf and Landscape Management degree prepares students for work in residential or commercial lawn care. Students seeking a faster path to graduation can also choose the shorter-term Turf and Landscape Management Certificate. The General Agriculture degree is designed for students with the long-term goal of obtaining a bachelor’s degree in agriculture or a related field. This option gives students the freedom to customize their coursework and study the area of agriculture that best fits their career aspirations.
