Drafting and Design Technology
Design your future
As communities grow, so does the drafting industry. All new products and buildings require drawings and specifications to manufacture, build and ensemble, so the possibilities are endless with the skills you’ll gain in this hands-on program. Students will gain the necessary skills and knowledge to obtain employment as a designer/drafter in a manufacturing, civil, structural or architectural environment. Plus, students use computer aided drafting systems to complete projects. Classes include Fundamentals of Drafting, Architectural Drafting, Production Design Drafting and more. Upon completion, students receive an Associate of Applied Science in Drafting and Design Technology. For an expedited pathway to employment, students may also complete a short-term Drafting and Design Technology Certificate.
