Meld passion and principle with the 20-Week Industrial Welding  Specialist program at OTC. This fast-paced, innovative program allows you to complete 34 credit hours of direct welding instruction in an accelerated 20-week period. Get the skills you need with the Industrial Welding Specialist program for a job as a welder in a manufacturing, structural or architectural environment. Designed for beginning to advanced welders, this program features hands-on instruction five days a week for 20 weeks.

Depth of training required for jobs in the welding industry vary, but this practical program provides skills-based instruction needed to secure jobs in this lucrative industry. The program is certified by the American Welding Society (AWS). Training in this program includes Shielded Metal Arc Welding (SMAW), Gas Metal Arc Welding (GMAW), Gas Tungsten Arc Welding (GTAW), Flux-Core Arc Welding (FCAW), blueprint reading, oxy-fuel cutting, plasma arc cutting and carbon arc cutting and gouging, along with fabrication and finishing techniques utilized in the local stainless steel industry.  Students are also introduced to welding the various joint designs in different welding positions as well as orbital welding and manual welding of sanitary tubing. Upon successful completion, students receive a Welding Technology Certificate.
