If you are currently working as a paraprofessional in Missouri and you ultimately seek Special Education certification, you may find the AA in Teacher Education a beneficial option. Current paraprofessionals may start at OTC and complete the AA in Teacher Education as their pre-apprenticeship coursework. Upon completion of the AA.TED degree, qualifying students transfer to MSU to participate in their Pathways for Paraprofessionals program, an apprenticeship program designed to help you earn an income while you complete the requirements and courses for Special Education certification.
