This also allows students to schedule exam appointments from within their specific Canvas courses. Once an exam is submitted, a testing center administrator will approve it, and an email will go out to the instructor, letting them know the exam is ready to be taken. This system allows students to schedule, reschedule, or cancel their own appointments.<\/p>\n<p><em>Appointments cannot be scheduled by phone or email.<\/em><\/p>\n<p><strong>For students scheduling exams at the Springfield campus:\u00a0<\/strong><\/p>\n<ol>\n<li>From within your Canvas course, use the <strong>RegisterBlast<\/strong> link in the course menu on the left.<\/li>\n<li>Select the exam to schedule.<\/li>\n<li>Choose a date\/time within the testing window.<\/li>\n<li>Agree to the exam guidelines.<\/li>\n<li>Add to cart and confirm.<\/li>\n<li>Arrive at Testing Services on the testing date with an ID and any allowed materials.<\/li>\n<li>Make sure you know your Canvas login information.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<p>For a more detailed walkthrough, see: <strong><a href=\"https:\/\/academics.otc.edu\/media\/uploads\/sites\/83\/2025\/02\/HowStudentsScheduleinRegisterBlastforSpringfieldCampus.pdf\">How to schedule in RegisterBlast through Canvas<\/a><\/strong>.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Important Notes:<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li><span data-contrast=\"auto\">If you do not see a RegisterBlast link in the left menu of your Canvas course, see &#8220;Unable to find course, exam, or open date&#8221; below.<\/span><\/li>\n<li>If a fee is listed next to your exam name, payment must be submitted through Ozarks Tech: <a href=\"https:\/\/quikpayasp.com\/otc\/commerce_manager\/payer.do?orderType=TESTING%20SERVICES\">Pay For Your Exam<\/a><\/li>\n<li>You can make, reschedule, and cancel appointments at your convenience through the RegisterBlast system.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>We recommend reviewing our <a href=\"https:\/\/academics.otc.edu\/springfieldtesting\/what-to-expect-in-testing-services\/\"><strong>&#8220;What To Expect&#8221;<\/strong><\/a> page after submitting your reservation.[\/vc_toggle][vc_toggle title=&#8221;Unable to find course, exam, or open date&#8221; css=&#8221;&#8221;]<strong>If your Ozarks Tech exam is showing, but future dates are grayed out:<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>If you are taking the exam<strong> earlier or later <\/strong>than the usual exam period<strong>:<\/strong><\/p>\n<ol>\n<li>Make sure you have <strong>permission from your instructor<\/strong> to take the exam on a different date. The dates may simply be grayed out because the exam isn&#8217;t open on the day you&#8217;re trying to select.<\/li>\n<li>If you have instructor permission, the exam may be entered into RegisterBlast as a copy with a different name:\n<ul>\n<li>In the Exam dropdown, check for other exams with similar names, perhaps with modifiers such as &#8220;Clone of&#8221; or &#8220;Extended&#8221;.<\/li>\n<li>If you see a similarly-named exam, select that one, and see if more dates become available.<\/li>\n<li>If not, use the method described below to schedule with &#8220;I don&#8217;t see my course.&#8221;<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><b><span data-contrast=\"auto\">If the Ozarks Tech course or exam you are trying to schedule for isn&#8217;t listed:<\/span><\/b><\/p>\n<p>If you went to RegisterBlast in any way other than through your Canvas course, try going in through Canvas and see if that changes your options. If you still don&#8217;t see your course, or you see your course but not the exam you need to take:<\/p>\n<ol>\n<li><span data-contrast=\"auto\">Go to this <a href=\"https:\/\/www.registerblast.com\/otcspringfield\/User\/LoginStep\">Exam Registration<\/a> link<\/span><\/li>\n<li><span data-contrast=\"auto\">Click <strong>&#8220;Sign on using School Credentials.&#8221;<\/strong><\/span>\n<ul>\n<li><span data-contrast=\"auto\">If you are an Ozarks Tech student and sign in differently than this, you will not be able to find your course exam; this will delay finalization of your appointment and may result in delays checking in.<\/span><span data-ccp-props=\"{}\">\u00a0<\/span><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n<li>You will be redirected to an Ozarks Tech sign-in page. Sign in using your Ozarks Tech username and password.<\/li>\n<li>Choose the group, &#8220;An OTC Course Exam.&#8221;<\/li>\n<li>In the Course drop-down, select &#8220;I don&#8217;t see my course.&#8221;<\/li>\n<li>In the Exam drop-down, select &#8220;2-hour Makeup Exam.&#8221;<\/li>\n<li>Fill in the prompts detailing which course and which exam you need to schedule for.<\/li>\n<li>Add to Cart (there is no charge), and Complete Registration.<\/li>\n<li>Testing Services staff will reach out to your instructor to obtain exam information.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<p>[\/vc_toggle][vc_toggle title=&#8221;Troubleshooting scheduling errors&#8221; css=&#8221;&#8221;]<b><span data-contrast=\"auto\">If you receive an error when scheduling an Ozarks Tech exam:<\/span><\/b><\/p>\n<ol>\n<li>Make sure you are clicking &#8220;Sign in with School Credentials&#8221;<\/li>\n<li>Make sure your browser is a current version of modern browser. Some common browsers include: Google Chrome, Mozilla Firefox, Microsoft Edge, Opera.\n<ul>\n<li><strong>NOTE: Safari will not work with Canvas and RegisterBlast.<\/strong><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n<li>Delete your cookies, refresh your browser, and try again<\/li>\n<li>Clear your cache, refresh your browser, and try again<\/li>\n<li>Try another browser<\/li>\n<li>Try to register on another device<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<p>If those actions don&#8217;t resolve your error, see &#8220;RegisterBlast Support&#8221; below.[\/vc_toggle][vc_toggle title=&#8221;Rescheduling an exam&#8221; css=&#8221;&#8221;]<b><span data-contrast=\"auto\">If you initially entered RegisterBlast through Canvas, the easiest way to reschedule is by re-entering RegisterBlast through Canvas.\u202f<\/span><\/b><span data-ccp-props=\"{}\">\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<ol>\n<li>Log into Canvas and access RegisterBlast.<\/li>\n<li><span data-contrast=\"auto\">Click the\u202f<\/span><b><span data-contrast=\"auto\">\u202fMy Exams <\/span><\/b><span data-contrast=\"auto\">or <\/span><b><span data-contrast=\"auto\">\u202fMy History<\/span><\/b><span data-contrast=\"auto\">\u202ftab at the top of that page.<\/span><span data-ccp-props=\"{}\">\u00a0<\/span><\/li>\n<li><span data-contrast=\"auto\">Enter the email address you used to schedule your exam.<\/span><span data-ccp-props=\"{}\">\u00a0<\/span><\/li>\n<li><span data-contrast=\"auto\">Click the <\/span><b><span data-contrast=\"auto\">Continue<\/span><\/b><span data-contrast=\"auto\">\u202fbutton underneath the email field.<\/span><span data-ccp-props=\"{}\">\u00a0<\/span><\/li>\n<li><span data-contrast=\"auto\">Within a few minutes, you will receive an email with a link which is valid for 90 minutes.<\/span><span data-ccp-props=\"{}\">\u00a0<\/span><\/li>\n<li><span data-contrast=\"auto\">Click the\u202f <\/span><b><span data-contrast=\"auto\">link<\/span><\/b><span data-contrast=\"auto\"><strong>\u202ffrom the email<\/strong> to open your registration history.<\/span><\/li>\n<li><span data-contrast=\"auto\">Select the \u202f<\/span><b><span data-contrast=\"auto\">Reschedule <\/span><\/b>link<span data-contrast=\"auto\">.<\/span><span data-ccp-props=\"{}\">\u00a0<\/span><\/li>\n<li><span data-contrast=\"auto\">A calendar will appear showing available dates times.
