{"id":68130,"date":"2024-06-04T18:52:35","date_gmt":"2024-06-04T18:52:35","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/academics.otc.edu\/springfieldtesting\/?page_id=68130"},"modified":"2025-01-30T21:46:47","modified_gmt":"2025-01-30T21:46:47","slug":"firesafety-testing","status":"publish","type":"page","link":"https:\/\/academics.otc.edu\/springfieldtesting\/firesafety-testing\/","title":{"rendered":"Ozarks Tech Fire Safety Certification Testing"},"content":{"rendered":"<div class=\"wpb-content-wrapper\"><p>[vc_row][vc_column][vc_column_text css=&#8221;&#8221;]<\/p>\n<h2>Fire Safety Certification Testing Information<\/h2>\n<p>[\/vc_column_text][vc_column_text css=&#8221;&#8221;]Ozarks Tech administers the MO DIVISION OF FIRE SAFETY CERTIFICATION EXAMS in the Springfield Campus Testing Services department. <strong>(Hazmat Awareness, Hazmat Operations, Firefighter I, Firefighter II, and Technical Rescuer Core for OTC Students at no charge.)<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><strong> Non-OTC students can also take Fire Safety Certification Exams for a $20 Proctoring fee.\u00a0<\/strong>[\/vc_column_text][vc_column_text css=&#8221;&#8221;]<\/p>\n<h3>Fire Safety Certification Exam Information:<\/h3>\n<p>OTC FST students there is no charge to take <strong>(Hazmat Awareness, Hazmat Operations, Firefighter I, Firefighter II, and Technical Rescuer Core)<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Non-OTC test takers there is a $20 fee for each exam taken. See list of available exams below.<\/p>\n<p><strong>You MUST schedule your Fire Safety Certification exam with the link below using the &#8220;Fire Safety State Certification&#8221; Exam Group. <\/strong>Do <strong>NOT<\/strong> schedule your Fire Science exam on the Ozarks Tech Online and Makeup Exam Scheduler, or else Testing Services will <strong>NOT<\/strong> receive your exam information from the State.<\/p>\n<div><\/div>\n<ul>\n<li>Once an FST Student successfully completes an FST course that is aligned with a MO Division of Fire Safety certification course, the instructor will submit the required paperwork to the MO Division of Fire Safety. After the Division reviews and approves the paperwork, the FST student will receive an email from the Division that states that student is approved to take the written exam for certification.<\/li>\n<li>After confirmation of approval from the Division, the FST student will pick a date and time on the <strong><a href=\"https:\/\/www.registerblast.com\/otcspringfield\/Exam\/List\">Scheduler Link<\/a><\/strong> at the Ozarks Tech Springfield Testing Center. The FST student will pick one appointment per exam. No more than two certification exams per day.<\/li>\n<li>On the day of the exam, the student will present their Ozarks Tech student ID or a Valid <strong><u>unexpired<\/u><\/strong> State Issued ID. Non-OTC test takers will also need to bring a copy of their receipt of payment.<\/li>\n<li>The FST student will take the exam within the allowable time for that particular exam.<\/li>\n<li>The MO Division of Fire Safety will email the test results to the student indicating pass or fail. If the student failed, the email would include information concerning areas where the student was weakest in their answers in order for the student to be able to review that particular material in preparation for their second testing opportunity. There will be a non-refundable $3.00 processing fee when paying with Commerce Manager.<\/p>\n<p>*Please bring a printed receipt with you to Testing Services on day of exam.<\/p>\n<h3>Pay Cash at Student Account Services<\/h3>\n<p>Located at the Student Services Counter in ICW 109 (8:00AM \u2013 5:00PM, Monday \u2013 Friday).
