All Proctored Events and Make-Up Exams utilizing Testing Services at any Ozarks Tech location must submit the Faculty Exam Request through RegisterBlast.\u202f\u00a0<\/strong><\/p>\n If you are using Proctorio for your proctored event or make-up exam, you <\/span><\/i>must<\/span><\/i><\/b> also submit the exam information through RegisterBlast. <\/span><\/i>\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n Follow these steps to use RegisterBlast:\u00a0<\/strong><\/p>\n Step 1<\/a>: Enable RegisterBlast in each course. (You only need to do this once per semester)<\/p>\n Step 2<\/a>: Add a new Exam Submission (Faculty Request).<\/p>\n Once you submit the exam request, Testing Services will review and approve the request. Then, your students will be able to schedule with the Springfield Campus. Students going to other campuses and centers will schedule through that location’s website<\/a>.<\/p>\n Note:<\/strong> All campuses and centers can access the faculty submissions. To reduce confusion, please submit all requests through RegisterBlast so students have the most flexibility and all testing centers have access to the information.\u00a0<\/em><\/p>\n The easiest way for <\/span>faculty and students to access <\/span>RegisterBlast<\/span> is to use the <\/span>menu link in Canvas.<\/span><\/p>\n For more detailed information on resources and step-by-step guides, please see the Faculty Resources Canvas Course<\/a> Testing Services Module.[\/vc_column_text][\/vc_column][\/vc_row][vc_row][vc_column][vc_empty_space] The information given to Dual Credit High Schools about the Proctored Events can be found below to give you, the instructor, a better idea of how to help each student.<\/p>\n Contact Person<\/strong><\/p>\n Each school has a designated contact person, counselor, or instructor who works with Testing Services to coordinate exam requests. At the beginning of each semester, they receive a Welcome Letter outlining:<\/p>\n Students should review their schedule\/syllabus and begin coordinating their exams with their counselor early in the semester. The process is as follows:<\/p>\n For paper component-based exams:<\/p>\n For online exams:<\/p>\n What is a Proctored Event?<\/strong><\/p>\n At OTC, online courses are required to have a proctored event per policy 2.21 – Proctored Events for Online Courses<\/a>. One type of proctored event is a proctored exam. Instructors are expected to list the proctored exam(s) and testing windows in their syllabi. Life happens, and in some cases the testing window could change. Please advise students to keep in constant contact with the counselor and monitor course announcements for any changes.<\/p>\n Taking a Proctored Exam<\/strong><\/p>\n Dual Credit students taking online courses have a few options for proctored exams:<\/p>\n Proctoring Expectations:<\/strong><\/p>\n When utilizing a high school proctor is not feasible, students may use Proctorio for most courses<\/em><\/strong> (there are some exceptions). If utilizing Proctorio for an online exam:<\/p>\n COM-105 Proctored Event<\/strong><\/p>\n Last but not least, students who are taking COM-105 will need to reach out to our Speech Communication Center<\/a>\u00a0regarding their proctored event. They will be your point of contact, rather than Testing Services.
