The Associate of Arts Degree in Behavioral Science is the best combination of courses to prepare the psychology major for either entry level positions upon graduation or transfer to a regional University. The baccalaureate degree with a major in Psychology requires a minor along with the major. The American Psychological Association recommends students complete the required course in statistics during the sophomore year of college. The A.A. in Behavioral Science provides an interdisciplinary approach; students can explore psychology as well as complimentary fields they can build upon as a minor. Students upon graduation will have all needed prerequisites and be ready to pursue the upper level psychology courses in their major upon graduation.
