[vc_row][vc_column][vc_empty_space height=”15px”][vc_toggle title=”What is a licensed practical nurse (LPN) ?” el_id=”1447699198289-37adf156-452d”]In Missouri, an LPN is a practical nurse who the Missouri State Board of Nursing licenses and recognizes.[\/vc_toggle][vc_toggle title=”How do I become an LPN?” el_id=”1447699224775-9a54ca8d-6292″]In order to become an LPN, you must first complete a practical nursing program that is approved by the Missouri State Board of Nursing (MSBN), then you must pass a licensure examination.[\/vc_toggle][vc_toggle title=”What is required to complete the Practical Nursing program?” el_id=”1447699239461-ddc121f6-237c”]The OTC Practical Nursing programs require a high school diploma or GED before beginning. Each Practical Nursing program is an eleven-month course of study that is approved by the Missouri State Board of Nursing. OTC does not currently offer an advanced placement option for students from other nursing programs.<\/p>\n

After satisfactorily completing the OTC Practical Nursing curriculum, you will then be eligible to apply to take the National Council Licensing Examination for Practical Nurses (NCLEX-PN) to become a licensed practical nurse (LPN).<\/p>\n
