Eight years later, he began working in quality control at the shop he was working at, and in 1992, he passed the\u00a0<a href=\"http:\/\/www.aws.org\/certification\/detail\/certified-welding-inspector\">Certified Welding Inspectors<\/a>\u00a0(CWI) exam. In 1994, he began working at OTC as a part-time instructor teaching evening welding classes, going on five years later to become a full time welding instructor at OTC.
