During his time in the program, he competed in SkillsUSA taking first place in district for welding and knowledge and second place at the state competition for welding in 2018. William worked in the stainless and aluminum industry for 5 years, in the time he was a craftsman fabricator as well as a quality control inspector. He received his Certified Welding Inspector certification in 2022. Before moving full time into teaching, he was an adjunct instructor for two and half years. One of his favorite parts of teaching is seeing the students become successful after graduation and working in the industry, as well as being a mentor to his current students. He receives great joy watching them grow throughout their time at OTC and in the field.[/vc_column_text][/vc_column][/vc_row]
