Kelli Akers has been serving students in secondary education for more than 15 years. She began her career as a high school Social Studies and Spanish teacher. She went on to teach high school students with learning disabilities. Then, she became a special education process coordinator and eventually was named special services supervisor for Springfield Public Schools before joining OTC in 2014. Currently, she works as the Director of the Career Center witnessing the life-changing power of career and technical education for her students.
