Tina Engel, M.P.T
Tina M Engel, M.P.T. has been a faculty member and Academic Coordinator of Clinical Education in the Physical Therapist Assistant program since 2017. She served on the PTA advisory committee previously since 2011. Tina graduated from Southwest Baptist University with a Bachelor of Science in Biology and minor in Psychology in 1996 (Cum Laude), and then earned a Master of Physical Therapy Degree from SBU in 1999. She has many years of clinical experience providing rehabilitative services for all stages of life in various settings, including, outpatient, skilled nursing, inpatient rehabilitation, schools, home health, and acute care. Tina has a wide range of training, with a focus on orthopedics and geriatrics. She also has 6 years of teaching experience in Biological Clinical Science education. She is a member of the APTA and the MPTA, and is also a member of the Orthopedic Section of the APTA. Tina is married and is a mother to 2 very active children. She enjoys spending time watching her kids play sports, traveling with her family, and serving in her church.
