The Early Start program is for high school, homeschool and HiSET students wanting to get a head start on their college studies. Eligible students may take courses at any OTC location, including OTC Online. Some courses may count toward high school graduation requirements (check with your high school counselor). All OTC courses become part of OTC’s college transcript. OTC is accredited, and most OTC coursework transfers to other accredited colleges.
Early Start applicants must be at least 16 years old at the time classes begin. We recommend Early Start students take no more than two classes their first semester. Utilize the OTC class schedule, course descriptions, and degree information in the OTC Catalog to help you plan your semester.
To get started as an Early Start student, apply to OTC. After you have applied, you will be assigned an Admissions Counselor who will assist you with course planning and registration.
