About the OTC Career Center<\/h1>\n

[\/vc_column_text][vc_empty_space height=”15px”][vc_video link=”https:\/\/www.youtube.com\/watch?v=XFLD55QbjfA”][vc_empty_space height=”15px”][vc_column_text]High school students begin their careers as they learn within the OTC Career Center.<\/strong> Juniors and seniors from area high schools earn free college credit to become college and career ready. Qualified students can earn an average of 40 hours of free college credits of career-specialized technical education programs. Plus, students participate in hands-on learning taught by local industry experts, while utilizing state-of-the-art equipment.<\/span><\/p>\n

This immersive experience for high school students is designed to guide them toward college and career opportunities after graduation. When students attend OTC Career Center, they may work toward an Associate of Applied Science degree, a certificate of achievement or specialization in a particular field. Students interested in a particular path may finish an entire program and receive a post-secondary certificate, even prior to graduating high school while at the Career Center. Enrollment in the OTC Career Center is an excellent way for students to explore their futures, supplement courses available at their high schools, learn about careers, develop high tech skills needed in today\u2019s global economy and workforce, and prepare for post-secondary enrollment at community college or university.<\/span><\/p>\n

OTC Career Center students\u2019 tuition is paid by the local high school district and does not utilize A+ Scholarship funds.<\/span>[\/vc_column_text][vc_column_text]<\/p>\n

OTC Career Center students attend one of two instructional block periods scheduled Monday through Friday. The morning period begins at 8:00 a.m. and ends at 10:30 a.m. The afternoon period begins at 12:20 p.m. and ends at 2:50 p.m.<\/p><\/div>\n<\/div>\n
