Heather Brown has been part of the HIT program since 2015. Ms. Brown has taught or is currently teaching in the following courses: Introduction to Health Information Technology, Medical Terminology, Legal Aspects of Healthcare, Healthcare Statistics, HIT Applications I & II,

Ms. Brown is a Registered Health Information Technician. Ms. Brown holds an Associate of Applied Science degree in Health Information Technology from Ozarks Technical Community College.

Ms. Brown’s experience and background include Health Records Clerk, MPI Specialist, Release of Information Supervisor, Cancer Register Technician, Healthcare Consultant, and Health Information Department Director.

Ms. Brown’s professional association membership includes the American Health Information Management Association (AHIMA), Missouri Health Information Management Association (MOHIMA), and Ozarks Area Health Information Technology (OAHIMA).
