Welcome to OTC Behavioral Health Support Program.

Mission of the BHS Program:
The Associate of Applied Science in Behavioral Health Support (BHS) program works to prepare students for employment in behavioral health and substance abuse treatment facilities immediately upon graduation by providing both real world experience and specialized training. Through practicum experiences and tailored instruction, they will be fully prepared to enter a career in this challenging field.

Due to a partnership with the Missouri Department of Mental Health, there are abundant local and statewide job opportunities in this field. Students will complete the program at an accelerated pace and graduate in a year and a half through their choice of a seated or hybrid format.

The degree track is intended for students who wish to be employed at the case management level while the certificate option is available for those who wish to work in a support role.

Transfer agreements are in place for those students who would like to continue their education while working in the field.  The A.A.S. differs from an A.A. in BHS, which is designed for students who do not desire to enter the workforce quickly and would prefer to have more flexibility in their scheduling.
