Mrs. Cindy Wilson serves as the Assistant Director of OTC Middle College. She brings a wealth of knowledge and experience to our program. Mrs. Wilson began her educational career by earning a Bachelor of Science in Education from Central Missouri State University. Her undergraduate emphasis was in the area of Special Education. After several successful years in the classroom, Mrs.Wilson went on to obtain a Master of Science in Secondary Administration from Southwest Baptist University. In 1998, the Missouri Federation Council for Exceptional Children award her “Special Education Teacher of the Year”. She has written numerous grants, including the Safe Schools grant that began the Bolivar Alternative School, where she spent 10 years as director. Mrs. Wilson also has international teaching experience. She spent several years in Australia where she worked as Director of Secondary Learning for Heights College in Rockhampton, and Special Services Coordinator for Australian Christian College in Sydney. Prior to joining the Middle College team in 2014, Mrs. Wilson spent 7 years with the Branson school district as their Alternative School Director. Inspiring and helping students recognize and maximize their potential is Mrs.Wilson’s passion. Away from work, she enjoys spending time with her family, attending church, singing, traveling, playing softball, watching a good movie while eating popcorn, and serving on the mission field in Nicaragua. Mrs. Wilson is also a motorcycle enthusiast and NASCAR fanatic.
