I retired from teaching Art Education in the Missouri Public System after twenty seven years. For the last six years I have taught Drawing I and II at OTC as an Adjunct Art Instructor. I am also a member of the National Art Education Association and Missouri Art Education Association. I hold B.S. and M.A.T. degrees in Art Education from Southeast Missouri State University in Cape Girardeau, Missouri. I have been married to my wonderful wife Vickie for 39 years. We have two children Tara and Kyle, son-in-law Jonathan Taylor and granddaughter Maddyson. I served in the United State Navy and was trained as a radioman. While stationed aboard the USS Higbee, DD806 I saw action during two tours of duty in Viet Nam in 1972 and 1973. I create art because I enjoy the imaginative world it allows me to enter. It means that I can express my thoughts and experiences in a visual manner that reflects what I perceive and think about. Sometimes emotions are rendered in a piece because of personal, liturgical, or political beliefs.
